Fasten your seatbelts and recline your seat, we start our descent to Hanoi Airport. Welcome to the country of the “Asian Dragon”! Hanoi, capital city of the reunified Vietnam, is a true colonial architecture museum on the banks of the red river. Indeed, the city has managed to preserve the old fashioned charm of the French colonial period based on the modernization of the city that started in 1882, and took place till 1955. Since then, the aspect of the city didn’t changed a lot.


As soon as you’ll board off the plane, you’ll get the benefit of a privileged welcome: One escort and a porter will wait for you with a personalized signboard.
Leaving the airport, you’ll rejoin your vehicle to transfer to your hotel. Rooms are available starting from 2.00PM.

In the heart of the Red River delta, the famous “City between the rivers” is offering a unique and contrasted urban landscape, made of lakes inviting you to rest and meditate, in between very intense traffic, contemporary buildings and traditional houses.


The first president of the Vietnam democratic republic is a fundamental and omnipresent personality for the Vietnamese. The visit of the exterior of the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and his former residence will familiarize you with his history. Hanoi city has other omissible sites like the “Unique Pillar Pagoda”, the “Temple of literature” dedicated to Confucius and the “Ngoc Son” Temple on Hoan Kim lake.

The best way to discover the capital city at your pace is probably to take a walk in the frenzy streets of the old district. This old urban center, also called the 36 corporations district is the heart of the capital. Here, boutiques, restaurants and bars are always crowded. It is the ideal spot to immerse yourself in the atmosphere and taste the exceptional Hanoi street food (not included).
 

Day 2: HANOI – HA LONG (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Classified 8th wonder of nature and World Heritage by UNESCO since 1994, Ha Long Bay is a must see site in Vietnam. This magical place, through the famous karstic sugar loaves and thousands of islands and islets, fascinates by its emerald green water. In this paradisiacal scenery of the Gulf of Tonkin, a cruise aboard a junk promises an exceptional stay. Once on board, a seafood tasting is served while the junk enters the waters of this marine and natural treasure.

In the afternoon, you will visit several sites and participate in activities depending on the junk booked. You come back on board the junk before sunset. When the sun goes down, a night squid fishing is organized for an ever more memorable experience. Dinner will be on board. Overnight stay on the junk.

Day 3: HALONG – HANOI – HUE (Breakfast/Brunch/-)

After a gentle awakening in this idyllic setting, a Tai Chi session is offered on the upper deck at sunrise. Breakfast will then be served on board while the cruise slowly resumes. The charm of Hạ Long's unique scenery will continue during a stopover in a natural cave. The cruise will arrive towards the end of the journey shortly after enjoying a brunch on board.
With its head in the clouds, Hue looms on the horizon as the next destination of this fantastic trip! Right in the center of Vietnam, this city reserves many surprises...

 

Day 4: HUE - TUY BIEU - HUE - (Breakfast/Lunch/-)

Welcome to Hue, The former imperial capital of unified Vietnam that has much to offer. Located in the center of the country, this city is also classified on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The vestiges, palaces and temples make the charm of Hue, that of the time of the Nguyen dynasties. You will begin with a peaceful walk on the Perfume River, to visit the famous Thien Mu pagoda, known as the "Heavenly Lady's" pagoda, which appears with its octagonal tower recognizable from afar. This Buddhist sanctuary dating from the early 17th century is built on the remains of a Cham temple.

The exceptional decoration of this region continues to be revealed in the village of Thuy Bieu located on the right bank. Renowned for its variety of grapefruit, which owes its particularly delicious taste to a particular geographical location, this little jewel is a haven of peace. You will then continue your morning with a bike ride through the immense orchards and market gardening allows you to feel far away from mass tourism. On the program: discovery of the life of the farmers and exotic visits such as the old houses with their typical gardens, the communal house and the houses of worship of the ancestors.

 

A cooking class is followed by a tasting of the dishes that you will have prepared, which will be served for lunch before enjoying a relaxing footbath with medicinal plants, a traditional therapeutic practice.

After lunch you will continue your visit of Hue, world famous for its Citadel, an ancient Forbidden City built from 1802 on the model of the Forbidden City of Beijing. Many of the buildings were destroyed during the past wars but the hundreds of remaining ruins highlight Hue's important cultural and architectural heritage. At the end of the afternoon, a stroll in the heart of the largest and most animated market of the city, the Dong Ba market, is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the Vietnamese culture. Transfer back to your hotel. Rest of evening and meals at leisure.
 

Day 5: HUE – HAI VAN PASS VIEWPOINT – HOI AN (Breakfast/-/-)

Today you’ll head to Hoi an and cross the famous « Clouds Mountain Pass »! This natural border offers a panoramic view on the Da Nang city, the Tien Sa port, the Son Tra peninsula, the Cu Lao Cham peninsula, and on the near white sand beaches. The mountainous and winding roads of this pass form the most spectacular coastal road in the country! 

A break in Da Nang where you’ll visit the Cham museum, built in 1916 and hosting the most beautiful art and sculpture collection of the ancient Champa realm. You’ll pursue to Hoi An and visit a stone carver’s shop to watch and appreciate the skills of the craftsmen. Lunch will be at leisure.

The ancient part of Hoi An town does invite you for a walk to discover and appreciate the perfect state of preservation of lot of buildings, including the famous Tan Ky house at 101, Nguyen street. This residence, built almost 2 centuries ago, is one of the oldest of Hoi An, and has been the first to be listed as Historical and Cultural Remains in 1985. She did host 7 generations of inhabitants and witness the richness of the “city of lanterns” architecture. The discovery is going on when visiting the old districts of the city: the Fujian sanctuary, the Chuc Thanh pagoda, the ancient wooden made houses and the Japanese covered bridge built around 1590. An introduction to the Lantern production, the regional specialty handicraft is proposed. End of the afternoon, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Rest of evening and dinner at leisure.
 

Day 6: HOI AN – DA NANG – 
HO CHI MINH VILLE –MO CAY

In the morning, road to Da Nang and flight to the economic capital of Vietnam. Formerly called Saigon and renamed Ho Chi Minh in 1976 after the departure of the Americans, this metropolis lives at a frantic pace, between colonial heritage and modern constructions.

Arrival in Ho Chi Minh, you will road to Mo Cay, in the Ben Tre province, located in the Mekong Delta region. This commune symbolizes the life of the Delta through its network of thousands of canals and floating markets. On the road, a stop is planned in My Tho to visit a Caodaïst temple. Caodaïst is a Vietnamese religion inspired by Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and Christianity.

Upon arrival in Mo cay, you will start your adventure for a bike ride to meet the inhabitants and discover local markets in an area full of coconut trees. After your ride, transfer to your local inhabitant homes where you will have dinner and spend the night.
 

Day 7: MO CAY – CA BE – CAN THO (Breakfast/Lunch/-)

•    11:00 am: Embarkation for a cruise on the Mekong River

Goof morning! Today you will depart from Cai be to embark on a cruse in the Mekong river in the Delta. On board small boats, a walk in the middle of a forest of palm trees promises a total change of scenery. Here you will have the chance to discover the local culture with the visit of a factory of rice cakes, sweets, puffed rice and alcohol. A tasting of fruits, honey and tea is organized before tasting at lunch a specialty of the region: Elephant Ear fish!

 

After lunch you will continue your journey towards Can Tho, with a brief stopover planned on a small isolated island to enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn carriage. The cruise ends in Vinh Long, a warm fruit growing community. On the way to the last stop: Can Tho! You have reached your final destination. Transfer to your hotel in Can Tho. Rest of evening and dinner at leisure.
 

Day 8: CAN THO – HO CHI MINH

Welcome to Can Tho! Formerly a victim of the fighting between American and Vietnamese troops, Can Tho is now experiencing a major economic boom, thanks in particular to its fruit and vegetable trade.  Today you will begin the day by going to the floating market of Cai Rang, which can be reached by boat, illustrates the richness and intensity of life on the Mekong.

 

Recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage Site in 2016, it welcomes hundreds of boats, canoes, rowboats and other small boats every day, all of which come to buy and sell their harvests of fresh fruits, vegetables, rice and sweet potatoes. Explosion of colors and atmosphere guaranteed in this Mecca of commerce! 

In front of this spectacle of myriad boats floating through the waters of the Mekong Delta, you will get the chance to taste fresh coconuts before you will get the chance to visit the local market An Binh. Back on dry land, it is the opportunity to discover the French colonial culture. You will visit the old Binh Thuy house, one of the few remaining intact. This bourgeois house, mixing eastern and western cultures, was built in 1870 by one of the ancestors of the current owner; Duong Chân Ky. Lunch will be at leisure.

In the afternoon, return to Ho Chi Minh City. You will discover Chinatown, formerly a marginal district of the metropolis; it is today a huge commercial area. A stroll through the pagodas and traditional Chinese stores allows you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the district. Transfer back to your hotel and rest of evening and meals at leisure.
 

Day 9: HO CHI MINH VILLE – DEPARTURE (Breakfast/-/-)
