The archaeological site of Ayutthaya, once the capital of the kingdom of Siam, presents that unique atmosphere of sites steeped in history. A history that is first discovered on the riverbanks, lined with remains, then on foot and by tuk tuk through the ruins of the historical park classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Wat Phanangchoeng, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, dating from the fifteenth century, or Wat Lokaya Sutharam and his 42-meter long reclining Buddha, are the best-preserved temples of the Ayutthaya era (fourteenth to eighteenth century). An inescapable symbol of the city, the head of Buddha encircled by the roots of a banyan, the sacred tree of the Mahatat temple.
Lunch will be at leisure. In the afternoon you will continue your discoveries before going to check-into your hotel in Ayutthaya for the night. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: AYUTTHAYA – KHAO YAI (Breakfast/-/-)

• 10:00 am Beginning of the visit of the park with a hike (2 to 3 hours depending on your pace)
• 12:30 pm Lunch at leisure at the park restaurant
• 2:00 pm Waterfalls, swimming and observation (if possible) of wild elephants
• 5:00 pm Check-in to the hotel
Khao Yai (pronounced "kao yai"), the oldest national park in the kingdom, was classified in 2005 as a World Natural Heritage Site. In addition, for good reason, its fauna and flora are invaluable. It would even remain - and a recent photo proved it! - Some tigers in the wild on this territory almost as big as Reunion Island (2168 km2).
Gibbons, hornbills, macaques, elephants, reptiles, insects and many species of birds and plants will hopefully be on the menu of this day of exploration of the park. A fauna and flora of an exceptional richness that you will be able to discover first in photos at the park's reception center, before starting a 2-3 hour hike (easy level).
A forest ranger will accompany you to reveal all the secrets of your impromptu encounters. You will go to bird watching points, which attract thousands of bird watching enthusiasts every year, before discovering the impressive Hew Suwat waterfall with the possibility of swimming in fresh water.
At the end of the afternoon, while the elephants come to drink, you will leave on their tracks and who knows if with a little luck you will have the privilege to observe them (from afar) in their natural environment and in the wild.
At the end of the day, you will be able to enjoy the magnificent setting of the hotel, set in greenery with a view of the mountainous contours of the park. Optional (extra): At dinner (under the stars if the weather permits), you will have the choice between a barbecue and a menu of Thai specialties before enjoying a beautiful night in the calm of nature. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: KHAO YAI – DISCOVERY OF A VINEYARD (Breakfast/Lunch/-)

• 2:00 pm Morning departure for Bangkok (180 km / 2h30)

Good Morning from Khao Yai! The climate, although tropical, has milder temperatures than Bangkok and attracts city dwellers on weekends. It is also this more temperate climate that allows vines to grow and produce nectars quite honorable for a country where wine is mostly imported. A visit to the PB Valley winery, located at the foot of the national park, will convince you. The estate, which covers 320 hectares, 80 hectares of which are under vine, contains a 3000 square meter cellar. 225-liter oak barrels are used to bring 450,000 liters of wine to maturity each year. You will discover the facilities and the vines before a tasting and then have lunch at the vineyard's restaurant, with a well-deserved glass of wine. After lunch transfer to Bangkok or to the airport.
